rates and services

hourly rate

  • hourly rate for services described below is $100.00

  • no minimum number of hours per project

  • no additional fees or added margin on items recommended/chosen for your project. The design plan will include links and recommendations for products and services that you would purchase directly from vendors. This represents a significant savings over the entire project. Items purchased by me for you will be invoiced at cost with receipts provided.

  • invoices will be sent monthly.

  • 20% of hourly rate will be donated to local charities

  • THE FIRST LOOK - A visit to your home to determine the “what” - No charge for this visit since we are each getting to know each other and determining if we want to move forward.  Usually takes about an hour or two depending on size of project.  Limiting this to on-island (Hilton Head) addresses for now. 

  • STARTING ON THE WISH LIST – This is the detail part of getting started; it includes measuring the space, taking some pictures, identifying furniture, rugs, art or other items that you wish to incorporate into the design.  Identifying color and style preferences, desired outcome, and approximate budget.  This usually takes two to three hours depending on size of project. 

  • DEVELOPING A DESIGN PLAN - First iteration of a plan for your review.  Floor plan suggestions as well as recommended furniture placement, furniture, paint color, fabrics, rugs etc.  This is the most time intensive part of my service and depending on size of project or room intent, I estimate anywhere between two and six hours.  The design plan will include links to the major pieces of the design that you can then purchase yourself directly from the vendor if you so wish.   This saves you from having to pay plus-ups which can add up to a significant amount.    

  • DESIGN PLAN PRESENTATION -   At your home, usually will take an hour or two. 

  • DESIGN PLAN MODIFICATION - There is always something that will need some tweaking but since most of the work has already been done, I estimate an hour or two for any modifications that may need to be done. 

  • SHOPPING FOR ACCESSORIES – Final touches that add layers and detail to the design are best purchased in person and on an “as found” basis in various stores.   Hourly rate for shopping would apply.  Anything purchased by me for you would be billed to you at cost with receipts attached. 

  • PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER - Final placement of furniture, accessories and little details that turn the house into your home.   Time as needed, since it may take multiple visits.
